You negotiated the price, the escalator cap, the rebate tiers and the credits. Your AP system pays whatever the invoice says. Nobody checks one against the other, line by line. That gap is cash you can claim back.
I have 20+ years of experience. The Scout Audit is that line-by-line check, for one fixed fee.
Scout has been tested on a 300,000-line synthetic dataset in SAP S/4HANA, Oracle and Coupa export formats, matching the independent answer key's headline totals to the cent.
Who It's For
- Finance leaders who want the cash back without handing a contingency firm a cut of it.
- Procurement leaders who won good terms and want proof the supplier is honoring them.
- Teams on Coupa, SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion or JAGGAER, buying indirect or MRO on contract pricing, escalators or rebates.
What You Send
Files you already have. I don't need a login, and your IT team doesn't need to build anything.
| Input | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Invoice lines | What you were billed and paid. Required. |
| Contract terms | Prices, escalator caps and notice rules, rebate tiers, credits, look-back window. Required. |
| Rate card | The contract price for each part. |
| Purchase orders | Confirms quantities, releases and blanket lines. |
| Goods receipts | What actually arrived. Settles most duplicate questions. |
| Supplier statements | Credits promised, and whether you got them. |
What I Check
- Price. Did you pay the contract rate? If the price went up, was the increase allowed, was notice given, and did it stay under the cap?
- Tiers and rebates. Did your volume reach a tier the supplier never priced or never paid?
- Duplicates. Were you billed twice: the same invoice again, with a suffix, under a new number, or repeated on a blanket PO? Receipts settle it.
- Credits. Did the credit the supplier promised ever reach your account?
What You Get
- A claim ledger (Excel and CSV). Every exception, with the invoice, contract rate, paid rate, amount and the clause behind it.
- A one-page summary. What you can recover on paid invoices, what you can stop on open ones, what needs a document check, what is past the look-back and what couldn't be checked.
- Draft recovery letters. One per supplier, listing each exception. You decide what goes out and who sends it. I never contact your suppliers.
- A findings call to walk your team through every claim.
How It Works
- 30-minute call. We agree on the suppliers, contracts and files.
- You send the files. I pull the terms that matter from each contract and confirm them with you before I run anything.
- I run the audit. Every line gets checked. Anything uncertain is marked "to confirm." It is never counted as a claim.
- Findings call. You get the ledger, summary and draft letters, and we go through them together.
Scope and Timeline
- Scope. Up to 150 active suppliers and 24 months of invoice data, checked against your contracts, purchase orders and receipts.
- Timeline. Findings within 10 business days of receiving complete data.
Fee
One fixed fee, agreed before any work starts. I take no share of what you recover. Every dollar you claim back is yours.
Your Data
- Files only. I never need a login to your systems.
- Processed offline. On FSA's own machine, with Scout running offline. Your files are never uploaded to a cloud service, and Scout makes no network connections.
- NDA and deletion. We sign a mutual NDA before you share any data. We delete your files within 30 days of the findings readout and confirm the deletion to you in writing. You keep the claims file.
Questions
How is this different from a contingency audit firm?
A contingency firm keeps a share of everything it recovers. You pay me one fixed fee, so I have no reason to stretch a weak claim, and you keep the full recovery.
What if you find nothing?
Then you have proof, line by line, that your contracts are being honored. The 30-minute call is there so we can judge whether an audit is likely to pay before you commit.
How do I know the numbers are right?
Every row shows the invoice, the contract rate, the paid rate and the clause. Your team can check any row by hand. Run the same files again and you get the same ledger.
Will this make AP look bad?
The ledger shows where the contract and the invoice disagreed, not who missed it. Duplicates are checked against goods receipts, and anything uncertain is marked "to confirm", not claimed. You review every row before anything reaches a supplier.
Will this damage supplier relationships?
Each claim cites the supplier's own contract and invoice, so the conversation is about terms you both signed. It's a business conversation, not an accusation. Letters are drafts. You choose the tone and what to send, and items can go through your normal supplier review instead of a letter.
Can I see how it works first?
Yes. The FSA Scout demo runs in your browser on made-up sample data and sends nothing over the network.
